How to reset CP plus DVR step by Step?
Here
are three reliable ways to reset a CP Plus DVR depending on
your model and situation:
This
is the most common method:
- Call CP Plus
support (India toll free: 1800‑103‑5666; or +91 88009 52952
- Provide DVR model,
serial number, current date & time, and your email
address
- You'll receive
an email with one or more temporary master passwords, valid for one day.
- Disconnect the LAN
cable, restart the DVR.
- At login, choose
Admin and enter the master password.
- Navigate to Main
Menu → Account (or
Advanced → Account), select admin
user, click Modify Password, enter the master password in “Old
Password” and then set your new password (without special characters)
- Make sure to change
the password within 24 hours because the master password expires quickly.
2. Built‑in Reset via QR / App / Email
(Newer Models)
If
your DVR supports modern recovery features:
- On the login
screen, click Forgot Password.
- Choose QR
code reset or answer security questions if previously
- A QR code
